Kids Ministry

One Church is here to support you as you disciple your child. One Church Kids is a family ministry that brings every parent, every pastor and every volunteer together in a dynamic strategy to build faith in Jesus into the lives of children. One Church Kids begins at birth and runs through the 5th Grade. That gives us 624 weekends to help encourage your child before they graduate into our student ministry for teens. That is about 40 hours per year your family spends time on campus with us, so we wish to make every minute count and every moment special. We want them to have good memories of growing up in church, and a great understanding of God’s power to keep His promises in their lives.

Check-In for kids

Check-in opens at 9:30am. Our secure procedures insure a safe and happy experience for your family. Once the service starts, our volunteers will bring children in to experience our dynamic worship, and children will then be dismissed to return to the kids area for a lesson which is tailor made for their age and understanding.

Children’s Curriculum

Our Church Kids invests in a curriculum, called “DIG IN”, which is published by Group Curriculum. There's a big difference between knowing about someone and really knowing them personally. That's why the guiding principles behind all DIG IN lessons are designed to help kids develop a genuine, growing relationship with God by getting to know his heart.

Our Volunteers

Our goal is to Teach Like Jesus, to Love Like Jesus and to Lead Like Jesus. One Church Kids uses a national background screening to insure our staff meets your very demanding standards. Our volunteers are also trained in the curriculum we use and in providing a creative and exciting atmosphere for learning. Every volunteer signs our pledge which lays out very specific commitments and expectations for their serving. We treat it as a trust and a responsibility to serve the needs of your family, and we take this seriously.

Sick Policy

A child must also be fever free for 24 hours before coming to Kids Ministry. You can help us by closely monitoring your children for any symptoms and being understanding if we feel we cannot accept your kids into our programs due to health concerns.

Baptism

As children learn about Jesus, our hope is the same as yours, that there will be a deciding moment when they choose to make Jesus the leader and forgiver of their own life. When that happens, we will work with your family to ensure the timing is right, that the child has a good understanding, and that they are ready for following Jesus in baptism. We want to make sure you as a parent are comfortable with their decision, and feel good about the next steps they take in their faith.
